Tinubu’s Win Shows Strong Party Unity Ahead 2027


Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State has congratulated President Bola Tinubu following his official declaration on Sunday as the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2027 general election

Abiodun joined party leaders and members at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre in Abuja for the declaration ceremony after the successful conduct of the APC nationwide direct presidential primary election on Saturday, 23 May, 2026.

The Ogun State governor described Tinubu’s victory in the primary election as a reflection of the confidence, trust and strong support party members across the country continue to place in his leadership, vision and commitment to Nigeria’s progress.

He also commended the National Working Committee of the party, the Presidential Primary Election Committee, party leaders, stakeholders and members across the country’s 8,809 wards for ensuring the peaceful, transparent and orderly conduct of the exercise.

According to Abiodun, the successful primary election further demonstrated the unity and strength of the APC ahead of the 2027 general election.

The governor expressed confidence that under President Tinubu’s leadership, Nigeria would continue on the path of renewed hope, sustainable development, economic growth and national transformation.
