It noted that comprehensive security arrangements have been activated across the region to ensure public safety.

The military command disclosed that credible intelligence suggests possible attempts by remnants of Boko Haram and Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) fighters to disrupt the festivities through isolated attacks, including the use of suicide bombers and improvised explosive devices (IEDs) in crowded locations.

However, Operation HADIN KAI emphasized that these threats have been anticipated and addressed, with troops strategically deployed across vulnerable areas, supported by intensified patrols, surveillance operations, intelligence assets, and coordination with other security agencies and local vigilante groups.

The Command advised residents to remain vigilant during the festive period, urging the public to avoid large gatherings where possible, report suspicious movements or objects, and cooperate fully with security personnel during operations and screenings.

It further called on community leaders, religious figures, and the media to support awareness efforts and encourage timely reporting of credible security information.

Reassuring the public, OPHK stated that troops remain fully prepared and in control of the security situation in the North East, pledging continued efforts to deny terrorist groups any freedom of action.
