Fani-Kayode Mocks ADC Convention, Backs Tinubu’s Reelection

Nigeria’s Ambassador to Germany, Femi Fani-Kayode, on Saturday took a swipe at a faction of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) over its recent national convention, describing the event as disorganised and lacking in structure.

Fani-Kayode said the gathering failed to reflect the seriousness expected of a political party positioning itself as a viable opposition force ahead of the 2027 elections.

He alleged that the event was marred by confusion, internal disagreements, and poor organisation, claiming it did not inspire confidence in the party’s readiness to challenge the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Fani-Kayode further dismissed the ADC’s prospects, insisting that President Bola Tinubu remains well-positioned for re-election.

According to him, the outcome of the 2027 presidential election is already predictable given what he described as the weakness of opposition platforms.
