Adeleke’s Commissioner Deepens Wngagement With Stakeholders

The Osun State Commissioner for Rural Development and Community Affairs, Alhaji Ganiyu Olaoluwa, has led party stakeholders to Ila-Orangun in Ila Local Government Area, rallying support for the re-election bid of Governor Ademola Adeleke, ahead of the August 15, 2026, election.

The political gathering, which drew party faithful and community leaders, witnessed strong expressions of confidence in Governor Ademola Adeleke’s administration, with speakers describing his performance as the driving force behind growing grassroots support across the state.

The Commissioner, who had earlier visited Ifedayo, Olorunda and Osogbo Local Governments, sought the stakeholders’ support for his senatorial ambition.

Speaking at the event, the Chairman of Ila Local Government, Hon. Nasir Jayeola, declared that the governor’s re-election is practically assured, citing his impactful governance and widespread acceptance among the people.

According to him, the governor has “already campaigned for himself” through visible achievements in infrastructure, welfare, and policy implementation, particularly in Ila-Orangun.

Jayeola emphasised that all segments of the community, including traditional rulers, chiefs, youths, artisans, and corporate bodies, are united in their support for Adeleke, noting that the level of endorsement cuts across all demographics.

He also threw his weight behind Olaoluwa’s senatorial ambition, describing the aspiring Senator as a seasoned grassroots politician with unmatched accessibility and a proven track record of service. Recalling his contributions during his time as a party chairman, Jayeola said Olaoluwa’s aspiration is both timely and deserving of support.

“There is no division in Ila; we are solidly behind Asejere. This is payback time for his years of dedication and service,” he stated, expressing confidence that Olaoluwa would secure overwhelming votes across Osun Central.

Also speaking, an aspirant for the Osun State House of Assembly from Olorunda Local Government, Hon. Mrs Johnson Abimbola, commended Governor Adeleke’s performance, describing it as visible and impactful across key sectors such as infrastructure, healthcare, and education.

She urged the people of Osun State to sustain the current administration by re-electing the governor, noting that his leadership has delivered inclusive and participatory governance.

Abimbola further described Olaoluwa as a key political figure in Osun Central, appealing to voters to support his senatorial bid alongside the governor’s re-election to consolidate good governance across the state.

The event underscored growing political momentum in Ila-Orangun, with stakeholders expressing optimism that both Governor Adeleke and Olaoluwa would record significant victories in the forthcoming elections.
