APC Guber Aspirant Declares Interest In Osun West Senatorial Seat

Promises Quality Representation

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr Akin Ogunbiyi, has pledged quality representation for the people of Osun West Senatorial District, Osun State.

He made this disclosure on Saturday that his senatorial bid declaration will be a plus for the Osun West Senatorial District because of his antecedents, credentials, and intimidating profile.

He noted that the senatorial seat aspiration will provide an alternative avenue to serve the people of Osun West Senatorial District efficiently and effectively, expressing hope in the consensus party mechanism to favour his candidacy.

Ogunbiyi made the declaration yesterday in Iwo, the headquarters of Osun West Senatorial District, while addressing the press shortly after declaring his intention for the Osun West Senatorial Seat to the APC District stakeholders.

“I am here to inform the party leaders (APC), and they received the news with overwhelming joy. With the experience of the governorship and the way Iwo Federal Constituency lost out, our leaders presented a candidate, and we all aligned with Asiwaju Bola Oyebamiji.

“I know the same process will apply to the other positions. Though we have contestants from other constituencies but in this our constituency, I believe I am the only one because our leaders all aligned with me because of my antecedents,”

“My meeting with the party stakeholders was a form of saying take a bow, but as for my nature, I said one or two things. I was well received, and everybody was happy”

“My chances of emerging are ordained by God. Everybody knows my antecedents in the state. I am a member of the Osun Development Association. I have impacted beyond the nation beyond the state level”

“It is my interest to serve the people. I came out in 2018, 2022, and again in 2026. I have gathered experience. I am contesting because of my interest in serving. Apart from my education, the only company I started over 31 years ago is getting stronger with an overwhelming 5,000 workers.

“I have interactions all across the globe with leaders. I said I wanted to serve. And there are many positions I can serve them. Becoming a senator will add to my experience and provide a platform to prove my capacity.”
