The Nigeria Customs Service has alerted members of the public to a fraudulent Facebook page operating under the name “Nigeria Customs Clearance Board Authority.”
In a statement issued on Friday, the Service said the fake page is falsely impersonating the agency and has no affiliation whatsoever with the Nigeria Customs Service.
It warned that it is being used to mislead and defraud unsuspecting individuals.

The NCS urged the public to disregard any information, offers, requests, or communications emanating from the fraudulent page, stressing that engaging with it could expose individuals to scams and other fraudulent activities.
According to the Service, only its verified social media platforms should be relied upon for authentic information, updates, and official communications.
The agency listed its official channels as Facebook (Nigeria Customs Service), X (@customsng), Instagram (@customsng), Threads (@customsng), and TikTok (@customsng).
The Service also encouraged Nigerians to report suspicious social media accounts or online activities falsely claiming to represent the agency.
