ORF’S Propaganda Can’t Erase Aiyedatiwa’s Transformational Impact In Ondo

The Ondo Peoples Assembly (OPA) has faulted the Ondo Redemption Front (ORF) position on the administration of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State.

The OPA, in a statement by its Coordinator, Comrade Olufemi Lawson, said the ORF used unverifiable AI-generated statistics to falsely claim that the healthcare system in Ondo State has collapsed under Governor Aiyedatiwa.

Lawson said ORF’s comment is a desperate outburst from a group of misguided young people who reside far from Ondo State and have clearly lost touch with the realities of the state’s revolutionary transformation.

He said, “Ordinarily, such a publication deserves no response, considering the obvious lack of credibility, factual accuracy, and local relevance contained in the report.

“However, in the interest of the people of Ondo State and the need to prevent the deliberate spread of misinformation, we find it necessary to set the record straight.

“The Ondo Peoples Assembly views the statement by this faction of ORF as the desperate outburst of a group of misguided young people who reside far away from Ondo State and have clearly lost touch with the realities of the revolutionary transformation currently taking place across the state under the purposeful leadership of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa.

“It is unfortunate that individuals who neither live within the state nor have firsthand knowledge of developments on the ground would choose to depend on artificial intelligence-generated assumptions and politically motivated narratives rather than verifiable facts and empirical evidence.

“The truth remains that Governor Aiyedatiwa’s administration has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to strengthening healthcare delivery and improving the quality of life of residents across the eighteen local government areas of Ondo State.

“Contrary to the falsehoods being circulated by the ORF faction, the Aiyedatiwa administration has recorded significant achievements in the health sector, including approval for the rehabilitation and upgrade of over 102 Primary Healthcare Centres across the state to improve access to quality healthcare services, especially in rural communities.

“Strategic partnership initiatives aimed at strengthening healthcare infrastructure in all 203 wards of Ondo State through collaborations with development partners and the World Bank.

“Commissioning of a modern Pharma-Grade Central Medical Warehouse in Akure to ensure the availability, safety and effective distribution of quality drugs and medical commodities while combating the menace of counterfeit medicines.

“Expansion of healthcare access through the Orange Health Insurance Scheme, targeted at artisans, traders, farmers, transport workers and other participants in the informal sector.

“Ongoing investments in maternal and child healthcare programmes, including initiatives designed to reduce maternal and newborn mortality across the state.

“Recruitment and welfare improvements for healthcare professionals, alongside efforts to upgrade hospitals and medical facilities across the state.

“Approval for the construction and expansion of multiple hospital facilities across Ondo State, including new 100-bed and 50-bed healthcare facilities and the upgrading of specialist and neuropsychiatric institutions.

“Beyond healthcare, Governor Aiyedatiwa’s administration has continued to deliver measurable progress in road infrastructure, education, economic development, human capital development, social welfare, investment promotion and public sector reforms.

“Across the three senatorial districts of the state, critical road projects are either ongoing or completed, while the government has continued to increase investment in education, youth development and other social services.

“It is therefore both irresponsible and intellectually dishonest for any group to describe a healthcare system undergoing massive investment, expansion and reform as “collapsed.”

“We wish to state clearly that constructive criticism remains an essential component of democracy and good governance. The Ondo Peoples Assembly welcomes sincere observations, recommendations and alternative policy ideas that can contribute to the continued development of our dear state.

“However, we must caution against the growing trend of politically motivated organisations disguising themselves as civil society groups or non-governmental organisations while pursuing hidden partisan agendas.

“The people of Ondo State must remain vigilant and be mindful of the antics of desperate politicians and their associates who now masquerade under different platforms with the sole objective of undermining the administration of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa through propaganda, misinformation and distortion of facts.

“No amount of manufactured statistics, artificial intelligence-generated reports or sponsored media attacks can erase the visible achievements of this administration, which are evident to residents across communities in Ondo State.

“Governor Aiyedatiwa remains focused on delivering good governance, sustainable development and improved welfare for the people, and we urge all well-meaning citizens to continue supporting the administration’s developmental agenda.

“The Ondo Peoples Assembly remains committed to promoting truth, accountability and responsible public discourse, and will continue to resist every attempt to mislead the people through false narratives and political manipulation.”
