Sanwo-Olu Congratulates Tinubu On Emergence As APC 2027 Presidential Candidate


Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has congratulated President Bola Tinubu following his emergence as the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2027 general election.

In a statement shared on his official social media platforms, Sanwo-Olu described Tinubu’s victory at the APC presidential primary as a reflection of the confidence and trust party members across the country continue to place in his leadership and commitment to national development.

The governor also commended the party’s adoption of direct primaries, noting that the process demonstrated the APC’s commitment to strengthening internal democracy by allowing members to play a more active role in the selection of candidates.

According to Sanwo-Olu, President Tinubu has taken bold decisions over the years aimed at stabilising Nigeria’s economy and laying the foundation for long-term growth, adding that leadership often requires courage and difficult decisions to move the country forward.

He expressed confidence that Nigerians would continue to support Tinubu’s vision for sustainable progress and equal opportunities for citizens, stressing that the collective journey towards national development must continue.
