RIVPRO Applauds Chinda’s Emergence As APC Gov’ship Candidate

Stakeholders under the umbrella of Rivers Professionals (RIVPRO) have applauded the emergence of Ogundu Kingsley Chinda as the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State.

The group called on residents and political stakeholders across the state to rally behind Chinda, expressing confidence in his capacity, competence, and leadership qualities to deliver inclusive governance if elected.

In a statement issued on Monday by RIVPRO’s Director of Publicity, Nimi Solomon, the group described Chinda’s emergence as a significant step toward competent and visionary leadership in Rivers State.

Solomon noted that RIVPRO was particularly pleased with Chinda’s candidacy because he represents qualities many Rivers people have long sought in governance, including professional excellence, administrative experience, and a broad-minded, detribalized approach to leadership.

He said: “Chinda’s reputation as an astute and detribalized professional has earned him respect across ethnic, professional, and political lines.

Rivers State needs a leader whose vision rises above divisions and whose commitment to service is rooted in merit, fairness, and sustainable development.

Hon. O.K. Chinda is an experienced and broad-minded professional with the leadership capacity required to move Rivers State forward.

His emergence signals a refreshing shift toward competence, integrity, and inclusive governance.”

Solomon further expressed confidence that, if elected, Chinda would promote accountability, innovation, and people-centred government in the state.

He reaffirmed RIVPRO’s commitment to supporting credible leadership and urged Rivers people to embrace what he described as an opportunity for progress and development.
