Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar has described the over 10 million votes recorded by President Bola Tinubu in the recently held All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary election as a manufactured figure.
Atiku spoke briefly in Yola on Monday, 25 May, 2026 while casting his vote in the African Democratic Congress (ADC) primary held at Ajiya Ward, noting that “the said number recorded by President Tinubu is not a threat to the ADC in any ramification.”
He maintained that, “the people only sat down somewhere and manufactured the figure aimed at deceiving Nigerians.”
Commenting on the party crisis, the former Vice President said that “it is typical of any political party and will not hinder the party from winning the 2027 general elections.”
“The crisis in Africa Democrats Congress (ADC) will not stop the party from winning in the forthcoming general elections,” he boasted.
“As far as we are concerned the internal crisis is typical of political parties during elections, this is the beauty of democracy adding that his party will overcome the crisis soonest.”
He thanked the party members for coming out in their large numbers saying, “It shows that they have embraced democracy and it has to stay.”
Atiku called on the general public to make their votes count by voting for the ADC in 2027 to remove Nigeria and Nigerians from the present political, social, insecurity and economic quagmire.
