Lagos APC Women Leader Congratulates Tinubu On Emergence As Presidential Candidate

The women’s leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State, Rofiat Iyabosola Eletu, has congratulated President Bola Tinubu on his emergence as the party’s presidential candidate.

Women leaders also congratulated four outstanding female flag bearers who emerged victorious in the Lagos State House of Assembly.

Eletu in a statement praised the democratic process and emphasised that the results reflect a powerful stride forward for both national development and female political empowerment in Lagos State.

Congratulating Tinubu on securing the APC presidential ticket, the Women Leader noted that his victory underscores the overwhelming trust Nigerians place in his administration.

“Your emergence once again reflects the overwhelming confidence Nigerians and members of our great party have in your visionary leadership, unwavering courage and unmatched commitment to national development,” she said.

Eletu further lauded the President’s bold economic reforms, youth empowerment schemes, and infrastructure projects, adding that the progressive women of Lagos State remain fiercely committed to his “Renewed Hope” agenda.

Turning her attention to state legislative politics, Eletu celebrated the emergence of four highly qualified women who secured APC tickets for key constituencies in the Lagos State House of Assembly. She hailed their victories as a massive win for inclusion and purposeful leadership.

Princess Omolara Oyekan-Olumegbon (Lagos Island Constituency 1), Mojisola Lasbat Miranda (Apapa Constituency 1), Barr. Damilola Ayinde Marshal (Surulere Constituency 2) and Barr. Barakat Odunuga-Bakare (Surulere Constituency 1).

Eletu described Oyekan-Olumegbon’s victory as a testament to her deep-rooted integrity and passion for community development.

“This victory is not only a personal achievement but also an inspiration to women across Lagos State who continue to believe in purposeful leadership, inclusion, and service to humanity,” Eletu remarked.

Saluting the current Deputy Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Eletu praised Miranda for being an exemplary ambassador for women in governance.

She commended Miranda’s steadfast commitment to legislative excellence and her proven ability to foster harmony within the assembly during her tenure.

The Women Leader extended hearty cheers to legal practitioner Barr. Damilola Ayinde Marshal, noting that her legal background uniquely equips her to deliver impactful representation.

Eletu stated that Marshal’s rise is a source of immense inspiration, proving that the constituents have absolute faith in her capacity to champion inclusivity.

Also coming from a distinguished legal background, Odunuga-Bakare was highly commended for her professional excellence and consistent commitment to grassroots development.

Eletu assured her of the unwavering support and solidarity of the APC Lagos women’s wing as she transitions into the general election campaign.

Eletu urged the party faithful and the general public to rally behind these candidates.

She noted that the success of these four female legal and political heavyweights serves as a strong affirmation that Lagos APC remains a trailblazer in giving women a seat at the decision-making table.
