The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) and the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) have agreed to deepen collaboration to protect power assets and reduce vandalism across the Nigerian Electricity Supply Industry (NESI).
The collaboration was sealed during a courtesy visit to NERC’s Abuja office by a delegation from the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) led by the Director of Critical National Assets and Infrastructure Protection, AVM Enebong Effiom.
NERC Chairman Musiliu Oseni commended ONSA for its role in safeguarding national power assets. He said stronger synergy between both agencies is critical to tackling the rising cases of vandalism that continue to disrupt electricity supply nationwide.
“Stronger synergy between NERC and ONSA is essential to protecting critical electricity assets and improving the reliability of power supply nationwide,” Oseni said.
