Nigerian Afrobeats singer, Michael Adebayo Olayinka, popularly known as Ruger, has recounted how he missed an opportunity to feature in a film produced by Nollywood actress and Queen of Box Office, Funke Akindele, because he didn’t see her message in time.
In an interview with VJ Adams, Ruger mentioned that he observed Akindele often enjoys his music and had planned to contact her to thank her for the support.
He eventually found out that the actress had reached out to him with a proposal to feature in one of her movies, but he noticed the message after it was too late.

Ruger, who said the situation frustrated him, highlighted that the development stands as one of his greatest lost chances.
This is because the singer revealed that he has a keen interest in acting and would think about moving into the film industry.
He recognised that performing can be challenging because of extended filming hours, but he stated that he would be open to dedication if offered an intriguing part.
“I am interested in acting and wouldn’t mind going into the movie industry. I once missed a DM from Funke Akindele for a movie role. I didn’t even see it on time. That one still pains me,” he said.
“However, I think acting would be difficult for me because I don’t like shooting. But I would get into character still. If my character is interesting, yeah,” he added.
