…as ZLP moves to oust Oborevwori in 2027
The last is yet to be heard as floodgates of resignation and mass defection continue to rock the ruling All Progressives Congress in Delta State.
The former Speaker of the state’s House of Assembly and exchieftain of the Nigerian Maritime Service Agency (NIMASA), Rt Hon Victor Ochei, has again resigned from the party.
This came few hours after a Special Advised to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on Health Matters, Prof. Rukevwe Ugwumba, the Obor’esiri of Urhoboland, resigned.
Also, it happened a days after the former Deputy Senate President, Chief Ovie Omo-Agege, resigned to pursue his political ambition elsewhere.
The trio cited marginalization, lack of fairplay and injustice against legacy members by new defectors to the party. Amidst this, the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) in the state has produced Comrade Emeka Nkwoala as its 2027 governorship candidate to challenge and unseat Governor Oborevwori.
Nkwoala said an end has come for the exploding political god-fatherism in the state, boosting that his party has formulated people-oriented manifesto to enrich health, education and infrastructural sectors of the state.
