Adamawa PDP Endorses Vunobolki As Gov’ship Candidate For 2027


The Adamawa State chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), has announced Chief Maurice Vonulboki as its governorship candidate for the 2027 general elections.

The decision to endorse Chief Vunobolki was unanimously reached during the party congress held at the Mahmud Ribadu Square in Yola, with delegates from all the 21 Local Government Areas in attendance through extensive consultations at the grassroot levels.

The Chairman of the Electoral Committee, Hon. Debo Ologunagba, who presided over the adoption after a motion was moved and seconded subsequently declared Vonulboki the flag bearer of the PDP for the 2027 polls.

The process was witnessed and supervised by officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission and Senior Party stakeholdetrs from the party headquarters, Abuja indication that their presence was aimed at ensuring compliance with electoral guidelines.

Speaking earlier, the State Acting Chairman of the Party, Mr Belmond Dogo, told the gathering that all local government acting Chairmen and stakeholders had earlier agreed on Vonulboki as the sole candidate.

Describing the process as peaceful and orderly, he noted that the conduct of the congress was convened to formally ratify and announce the decision to the public.

Dogo explained that the adoption was the outcome of several meetings across the state aimed at building consensus ahead of the 2027 elections.

‎Chief Vunobolki while addressing the crowd, outlined his people-oriented vision for the state and pledged to prioritize youth empowerment, agricultural revolution, quality healthcare, quality education, infrastructure development, and accountable governance among others.

‎His message of inclusive leadership, transparency, and economic prosperity resonated deeply with the people, many of whom have grown tired of unfulfilled promises from previous administrations.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) officials also confirmed that the exercise was conducted in line with the party’s constitution and electoral guidelines even as stakeholders said the transparent process would help reduce internal disputes in the party.
