Nollywood actress Beverly Osu has argued that society ignores those who purposefully falsify their personalities in order to gain someone’s trust, challenging the inclination to blame people for choosing the incorrect mate.
Osu, in a post shared on her Instagram story, claimed that while people are quick to condemn people for having faith in their partners, manipulators are not held responsible for their deceit.

According to her, the emphasis should be on confronting people who use deceit to get into relationships rather than humiliating those who trusted them.
The actress added that those who purposefully misrepresent themselves in order to find a spouse should be held accountable, and trust should not be viewed as a weakness.
“We love blaming people for choosing the wrong partner, but we never blame the person who faked their entire personality just to get them.
“Stop shaming someone for trusting, and start holding the deceiver accountable for manipulating”, she wrote.
