Davido Blasts Oyetola Ahead Of Osun Governorship Election


Nigerian afrobeats singer, David Adeleke popularly known as Davido has stirred fresh political controversy in Osun State after publicly criticizing Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Gboyega Oyetola in a social media post.

In the tweet, Davido described the former governor as “the most desperate politician,” adding that his alleged political plans “will not work,” as polical tensions thicken ahead of the state’s governorship election.

The outburst comes amid an intensifying political contest involving Davido’s uncle who doubles as the incumbent governor, Ademola Adeleke who is seeking re-election in the state and the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Oyebamiji.

Oyetola, a former governor of the state and current minister, is reported to be supporting Oyebamiji’s candidacy, positioning him as a key figure in the APC’s campaign strategy.

Davido, who is a nephew of Governor Adeleke, has been an outspoken supporter of his uncle and has repeatedly used his platform to influence political conversations in Osun State.
