Inuwa Commends Peaceful APC Reps Primaries In Gombe


Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has commended the peaceful conduct of the All Progressives Congress House of Representatives direct primaries held across the state.

The governor gave the commendation after participating in the exercise at his Jekadafari Ward in Gombe Local Government Area.

Speaking shortly after the election, Inuwa Yahaya expressed satisfaction with the turnout of party members and the orderly conduct of the exercise across the state.

He praised the election management committee and party stakeholders for ensuring what he described as a transparent, peaceful and credible process.

“We are one big family, and there is no victor, no vanquished. As far as I am concerned, they are all APC members and I urge everyone to cooperate and unite for the success of our great party in the forthcoming general elections,” the governor said.

He stressed the need for party members to remain united ahead of the general elections, adding that the APC would continue to work towards meeting the aspirations of the people of Gombe State.

Governor Inuwa Yahaya also commended party faithful for embracing democratic values and conducting themselves peacefully during the exercise.

Also speaking, Chairman of the APC National Primary Election Committee for Gombe State, Alhaji Labiru Musa Kafur, expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the primaries.

He praised the Gombe APC under Governor Inuwa Yahaya’s leadership for strengthening internal democracy and ensuring a transparent process.

The primaries were monitored by officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and independent observers.
