Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, has expressed confidence in the growing strength of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), describing it as a credible opposition force capable of challenging the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in future elections.
Atiku made the statement after hosting stakeholders of the Adamawa State chapter of the ADC at his Abuja residence on Friday.
According to him, the visit was a significant show of support and commitment to the party’s growth.

He added that the meeting reinforced the need for unity within the party structure.
“I received stakeholders of the Adamawa State chapter of the ADC at my Abuja residence, a visit that deeply touched me,” he said.
The ADC chieftain used the opportunity to charge the new state leadership to prioritise unity, inclusiveness, and fairness in their operations.
He emphasised that party leaders must work towards healing internal divisions and ensuring that all members are carried along in the decision-making process.
Atiku maintained that the ADC is rapidly emerging as Nigeria’s “true opposition force,” built on strong ideals, organisational structure, and determination.
He further stated that the party is well-positioned to challenge and potentially defeat the APC in upcoming elections.
