Why I Admitted To Cheating On Will Smith- Jada Pinkett

American actress and talk show host Jada Pinkett Smith has revealed why she publicly admitted her “Entanglement” with singer August Alsina while married to Will Smith.

Speaking in a recent interview, Jada said she went public about it to safeguard her husband Will Smith’s pride.

In promoting her memoir ‘I am, You are, We are, Worthy!’ Jada stated that her public disclosure also aimed to protect their family from additional suffering.

She mentioned that she could have hidden her relationship with Alsina, but chose to reveal it because she felt it was essential for Will to understand the situation.

“I could love myself and love others, so that we could all be on the road together. So I’m like, well, I might have to speak my truth, but I’m also going to protect you.

“So if I have to look like the adulterous wife to make sure you’re good, I’m gonna do it.

“I learned how to love myself and not leave Will on the side of the road. And I hadn’t learned how to love Will and not leave myself on the side of the road.

“In that moment, because I felt so bad that he was in this situation, I decided I’m gonna love you, Will, and I’m gonna leave myself at the side of the road,” Jada shared.

Jada further said she willingly accepted being seen as the villain in the family so they could all move forward.

“Okay, I’m the bad guy. I’m the worst. Great. Let’s be done with it. I wanted it done. You got your answer. I’m the adulterous wife. Let’s be done. And let’s move on,” she added.

Jada had candidly talked about her “entanglement” with August Alsina during her Red Table Talk in 2020, while she was apart from Will.

Jada stated that discussing the entanglement publicly was essential for her personal development and an effort to manage the intricacies of their relationship.
