The gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nasarawa State, Sen Ahmed Aliyu Wadada, has called for unity among stakeholders and party supporters to close ranks and work for the success of the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Wadada who made the call at a press conference on Monday in Lafia, said the biggest task ahead was to prepare for the success of the party ahead of the 2027 general elections after the party primaries.
The gubernatorial candidate said it was to stakeholders, party supporters and other people of the state to rise above personal interest, political differences, and sectional considerations and embrace unity, hope and shared commitment to a brighter future of the state.
Wadada said with collective effort “We can build a Nasarawa state that offers greater opportunities for our youth, better healthcare for our families, quality education for our children, stronger security for our communities, and sustainable prosperity for all”
He promised that he would build on the successes recorded by the current administration in the state by prioritising the welfare of the people, strengthening institutions expanding economic opportunities, empowering the youth and women, supporting farmers and entrepreneurs, and creating an enabling environment for investment and sustainable growth when elected into office as governor.
The gubernatorial candidate said his vision for the state christened ‘HEARTS Agenda’ was designed to consolidate existing achievements and open new opportunities for growth, innovation, youth empowerment, rural development, economic prosperity and improved security of the state.
Wadada said that his goal would be to ensure that every community, every stakeholder, and every citizen feels the positive impact of governance regardless of location, social status, religion, ethnicity, or political affiliation if elected governor of the state.
He commended the state governor, Abdullahi Sule, stakeholders, traditional rulers, party members, and mostly the leadership of the party in the state for ensuring a peaceful, transparent and credible primary election in the state, promising that he would not let the people of the state down when elected into office as governor in 2027.
