Toyin Abraham Calls Out Critic Amid Comparison

Nollywood actress and producer Toyin Abraham has called on a movie critic to refrain from bringing her into the controversy surrounding Uche Montana’s YouTube views, following a recent movie on her page.

New Telegraph reports that Abraham’s reaction followed Montana’s latest movie, Monica 2, which generates more than 5 million views in just one day.

The sequel debuted at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 2, 2026, and reportedly garnered approximately 4,403,874 views in its first fifteen hours.

The performance outperformed the first “Monica” and improved Montana’s standing in the Nollywood digital distribution market.

Online users expressed shock at the numbers and questioned how Montana reached the milestone.

A reviewer contrasted the figures with those of Abraham’s most recent movie, Alakade GenZ, pointing out that while Montana received over 5 million views in only one day, Alakade GenZ received 3 million views in just one week.

“Toyin Abraham, who has a huge fanbase, joined with Imisi fans in one week to hit 3M, and Uche Montana movie Monica part 2 is hitting 5M+ views barely 24hrs, I doubt it’s organic views”, the critic wrote.

In response to the analysis, Abraham asked to be left out of the discourse and urged the critic to let Montana have her moment.

“Pls, leave me out of this and let her enjoy her moment and time. Won sepe fun yi ni, abi kilode gan”, she wrote.
