Tinubu’s Policies Reposition, Strengthen Nigeria’s Economy—Tijjani Galadima

Adamawa State gubernatorial aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ahmed Tijjani Galadima, has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for what he described as impactful policies aimed at repositioning Nigeria’s economy and strengthening governance at all levels.

Galadima, who stated this during a stakeholders’ engagement and town hall meeting held in Yola, promised to lead with fairness, justice, transparency and inclusiveness if elected governor in the 2027 general elections.

The governorship hopeful further declared that the people of Adamawa have already mandated him to be the next governor of the state in 2027, adding that if the mandate materialises, his focus would be on critical sectors such as security, education, healthcare, youth empowerment and infrastructure development.

‎He assured the people that his administration would build on the developmental foundations already laid in the state while introducing fresh ideas capable of transforming Adamawa into a model of good governance.

‎According to him, leadership must be people-oriented and guided by consultations with stakeholders across all segments of society.

‎The supporters, made up of critical stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC), women and youth groups, civil society organisations, student unions and hundreds of support groups, urged Galadima to remain focused and ignore what they described as “political jesters” attempting to distract him from his mission.

He maintained that “any decision we take in government will be based on wide consultations with the people because governance must reflect the aspirations and yearnings of the citizens.”

‎He equally praised Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for laying what he called a solid developmental foundation in Adamawa State, promising to sustain and improve upon the achievements recorded in infrastructure, education and social services.

‎The aspiration of the former Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) boss alleged to have been forced to resign by the Presidency, has continued to gain momentum ahead of the party’s primaries, with several groups across the state openly endorsing his aspiration.

‎Speaking at the event, Director General of the Galadima Campaign Organisation, Ambassador Kevin Peter, urged the electorate to support the APC aspirant, assuring that Galadima possesses the competence and leadership qualities needed to consolidate on ongoing developmental efforts in the state.

‎‎ The overwhelming turnout at the event was a clear indication that the people were ready for a new phase of inclusive leadership driven by accountability and people-centred governance.

‎Also speaking at the event, stakeholders from both the Northern and Southern zones of the state, including Titsi Ganama and Barrister Lilian Steven, pledged their commitment to mobilise massive support for Galadima ahead of the party primaries and the 2027 governorship election.

‎In his remarks, Professor Maxwell Gidado described Galadima as a bridge-builder with the capacity to unite the diverse interests of Adamawa people and sustain the developmental momentum in the state.
