Peter Okoye Changes Birthday Date To November 30

Nigerian Afrobeats artiste and member of the defunct Nigerian Hip-Hop duo, P Square, Peter Okoye, also known as Mr P, has announced that his birthday will now be celebrated on November 30 instead of November 18.

Okoye made this announcement on his official X handle on Tuesday, April 21, notifying friends, family, and followers that November 18 is no longer the date of his birthday.

According to him, on that day, he would not be taking birthday messages or presents.

He said that November 30 will now be his birthday, calling the change a personal choice as he expressed gratitude to the public for their understanding.

He wrote, “Dear Family, Friends, and Fans, I’m making it official. November 18th is no longer my birthday celebration date. Please note that I will not be accepting any messages or gifts on that day.

“My birthday will now be celebrated on November 30th. This is a personal decision, and I truly appreciate your understanding. Thank you all”.

The development is seen as an attempt to keep his celebration apart from that of his twin brother, Paul Okoye, also known as Rudeboy.

The Okoye twins have historically shared the same birthday, having been born on November 18, 1981.

Despite occasional reconciliations, their relationship has been tense since the P-Square split.

Online responses to the date change have been conflicting, with some characterising it as a personal decision.

Peter Okoye is married to Lola Omotayo and carries on with his solo career as Mr P.
