Pantami Mourns Victims Of Fatal Mile 3 Market Accident In Gombe


Former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Ali Pantami, has commiserated with the families of the victims who were involved in a fatal accident that occurred at the New Mile 3 Market along the Gombe-Yola Highway.

The accident reportedly claimed the lives of a police constable, Sharifa Gaina, and another resident.

In a condolence message issued on Thursday, 21 May, 2026 Pantami described the incident as heartbreaking and called for stricter adherence to road safety regulations, particularly by drivers of heavy-duty vehicles.

The former minister said the tragedy underscores the urgent need for greater caution and responsibility among road users to prevent recurring accidents and loss of lives.

Pantami extended condolences to the families of the deceased, injured victims, traders affected by the crash, and the Gombe State Police Command over the devastating incident.

He also commended security personnel, emergency responders, and relevant agencies for their swift intervention and rescue efforts at the scene of the accident.

Praying for the departed souls, Pantami asked God to grant the victims eternal rest and speedy recovery to those currently receiving treatment following the incident.
