As the people across the continents celebrate 2026 World Malaria Day, the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has called for life-saving efforts against malaria in the country.
In a press release made available to newsmen on Saturday, the First Lady wrote: “Today, on World Malaria Day, we reaffirmed our commitment to ending malaria and protecting the health of every individual.
“The 2026 theme, ‘United Against Malaria,’ highlights the urgent need for sustained collaboration, increased investment through domestic financing, and innovative solutions to overcome challenges such as drug resistance and unequal access to healthcare.
Let us strengthen prevention efforts, support life-saving interventions, and ensure that every community, especially the most vulnerable, has access to the materials needed to prevent and treat malaria.
When we stand united, we can achieve a malaria-free world. Happy World Malaria Day.”
