Nasarawa Speaker Hails Wadada’s Victory


calls for teamwork, unity ahead of 2027

Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Danladi Jatau, has hailed the emergence of Sen. Aliyu Ahmed Wadada as the Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nasarawa State for the 2027 general election.

The Speaker, in a statement he personally signed and made available to newsmen in Lafia, on Saturday, described the victory of Sen. Wadada at the party’s governorship primary election as a victory for democracy and the people of the State.

He congratulated Governor Abdullahi Sule, Sen. Ahmed Aliyu Wadada, the All Progressives Congress (APC), and the people of the State over the victory.

The Speaker said that the success of Sen. Wadada at the just-concluded All Progressives Congress (APC) Gubernatorial primary election in Nasarawa State is a victory for the people, describing Wadada’s victory as well-deserved considering his political antecedents, track record of achievements and contributions to the development of the party.

Jatau further described Wadada’s emergence as a reflection of the confidence and trust reposed in him by stakeholders and members of the party in the state.

“The victory of Senator Wadada is a clear indication of the support and acceptance he enjoys from APC Stakeholders, party officials and other members of the party in the state”, he said.

The Speaker appreciated Stakeholders and members of the APC for conducting themselves peacefully throughout the exercise.

Calling for more teams ahead of the 2027 general elections, Jatau urged all aspirants and their supporters to close ranks for the victory of the party in 2027, even as he assured Wadada and APC of his determination to work for the victory of the party come 2027.
