“Other parties have signed to work with us to make sure we actualise our dreams towards getting a very credible and courageous candidate that will drive the country to where it is supposed to be because we are far behind where we are today.”
Speaking on the primary elections of the party, Ekwunife noted that the elections were peaceful and transparent, adding that the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, was present when the candidates were nominated through the Option A4 direct primary elections.
“INEC officials were present to make sure that what was done was in line with the guidelines of the new Electoral Act.
“They monitored the process and reported that the exercise was the most peaceful and successful primaries they have gone through since the current democratic dispensation.
Speaking on behalf of the nominated candidates and candidate for Awka North and South Federal Constituency, Chief Nonso Okolo stated that he and his fellow candidates are poised to wrestle powers from the ruling APGA in Anambra state, adding that there manifest has to do with youth empowerment and agriculture, and that the challenges of effective health care delivery would be addressed.

The South East zonal Organising Secretary of the SDP, Mr Vincent Atuigwe, said, “The zone is pleased with the outcome of the primary election because we made sure we introduced very credible candidates who will go into the election to challenge the big parties.”
