Mo’Afrique Marks Decade in African Fashion Industry

Mo’Afrique, a Nigerian bespoke luxury fashion house, has announced plans to mark its 10th anniversary, celebrating a decade of innovation, craftsmanship, and cultural influence in the fashion industry.

Founded in 2016, the brand said it has grown into a leading name in African luxury fashion by blending heritage with contemporary design to produce pieces that appeal to clients across the continent and beyond.

In a statement, the Founder and Creative Director, Omobolanle Olawole, said the company’s journey over the past decade has been marked by growth, resilience, and impact on both individuals and the economy.

“The past 10 years have been a period of real excitement and joy for us as we have overcome many challenges and brought smiles to many faces. We are happy to have contributed to the growth of the Nigerian economy and improved the lives of individuals and families,” Olawole said.

She added that the brand’s success was driven by its commitment to originality and innovation while maintaining its cultural identity.

“Mo’Afrique has thrived by staying true to our roots while pushing the boundaries of design. For a decade, we have dressed the individuals shaping Nigeria’s story,” Olawole said.

Olawole noted that the Nigerian fashion industry holds significant potential, stressing that the company plans to expand its offerings to reach a broader audience and deepen its impact.

“We are not celebrating ten years. We are defining what the next ten will look like for fashion, for business, and for African excellence,” she said.

The fashion house also disclosed that it has concluded arrangements to commemorate the milestone with a major event scheduled for April in Abuja.

“After ten years, our brand is not looking back. It is drawing a line forward. Anchored by the theme Celebrating a Legacy of Excellence, Mo’Afrique will mark our 10th anniversary in April with a huge event that will feature a convergence of Nigeria’s political, corporate, and cultural leadership, where influence, identity, and image intersect in Abuja,” Olawole said.

Over the years, Mo’Afrique said it has built a reputation for dressing leaders, professionals, and tastemakers, positioning itself as a symbol of African luxury fashion.

The company added that the anniversary will also signal the launch of a new phase of growth aimed at expanding its reach to the mass market while maintaining its signature quality and investing in local communities.
