Nollywood actress and producer, Toyin Abraham, has reacted to the comment made by social media influencer Olawuni Oluwapelumi Abike, better known as Abike Shugaa, concerning her participation in the movie ‘Ijakumo.’
Abike claimed in a viral video that she was paid N50,000 for her role in the movie and later found out that her scenes were omitted from the final cut.
According the the social media influencer, she has worked in several movie productions without experiencing such.
Reacting to the allegations in a post on her official X account on Friday, Abraham mentioned that she had earlier backed Abike and clarified that she received payment for her roles in various projects.

She claimed that Abike was paid N500,000 for her part in ‘Malaika’ and N50,000 for two scenes in ‘Ijakumo’, which the director ultimately cut during editing.
Abraham stressed that she is one of the producers backing new talents in the industry, adding that she had decided not to comment further on the matter.
“I have made up my mind never to say anything cos I see her as my daughter, and I hope everyone remembers this whole thing started on Twitter.
“While I paid for her machine, she was paid 500k for Malaika for an upcoming, nobody will pay such. I beat my chest that I’m among those who will pay such.
“I won’t say anything, may God bless everyone of us,” Abraham added.
