LP Releases Names Of Congress Subcommittees 


The Labour Party (LP) has released the list of Chairmen and members of electoral subcommittees for its forthcoming congresses across the states of the federation.

New Telegraph had earlier reported that the party announced that the congresses, which will begin on Thursday, April 23, with the ward congress, will climax with the national convention on April 28 in Umuahia, Abia State.

Labour Party, in a statement issued by Ken Asogwa, Senior Special Adviser (Media) to the Interim National Chairman, assured that the congresses will reflect the core values of the party.

The statement quoted the interim National Chairman Senator Esther Nenadi Usman, emphasising the need for the committee members to be diligent and Committed in their assignment, and to ensure the credibility of the process.

“She reminded them of the party’s core values of equal opportunity and social justice, urging them to reflect these principles in the discharge of their duties,” the statement added.
