He added that enforcement teams comprising officials from the Ministry of the Environment, Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency, Kick Against Indiscipline, Lagos Waste Management Authority, and local government sanitation inspectors will monitor compliance.

However, he warned that Defaulters will be sanctioned in line with the Lagos State Environmental Management and Protection Law of 2017.

He Commissioner further noted that LAWMA trucks will be deployed to evacuate waste generated during the exercise, ensuring proper disposal.

To encourage participation, the government will introduce incentives, including rewards for the cleanest Local Government Area (LGA), Local Council Development Area (LCDA), and streets.

The initiative, he said, is part of efforts to promote environmental cleanliness, public health, and community engagement in the state.

He also urged residents to actively participate and support the government’s drive toward a cleaner and more sustainable Lagos.
