Huge Turnout In Anambra As APC Votes At Presidential Primary

There was a huge turnout at the Anambra State All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary election held on Saturday across the Local Government Areas of the state.

At the seven Local Government Areas of Anambra Central North and South Senatorial Districts, party members had arrived at their respective wards in readiness for the election, and at exactly 7.23 am, the officials for the conduct of the exercise arrived, and voting commenced at 9.47 am.

Though in some areas voting started by 11 am due to the number of registered members of the party who waited patiently to queue up during the election.

Speaking shortly after the primary election, the Chairman of the party Sen Emma Anosike, who was on a tour of the state to monitor the exercise, expressed satisfaction at the turnout and the peaceful process, noting that it was a show of the burning desire of party members to return President Ahmed Bola Tinubu to Aso Rock in 2027.

“You have seen it all. This is a new dawn for our party in Anambra state, and when I went round, I was indeed overwhelmed by the turnout, and even other parties were shocked at the huge crowd that came to vote ”

“Gone are those days when this party is seen as one of those parties because of the mobilisation that we carried out and the online registration of members”

“That tells you what would happen in the 2027 general elections, and this success is also due to the quality of candidates that were nominated by the party to contest for the State and National Assembly elections”, he said.

Anosike dismissed the boasts of other political parties against the APC, stating that “They are only trying to console themselves before their ultimate failures next year, and when that happens, it will become clear to them that we are in charge ”

“I want to thank the Committee and Presidential Primary Coordinator and Collation Officer for Anambra state Sen Uche Ekwunife for this Presidential primary election for their due diligence and dedication towards the success of this election ”

Anosike urged party faithfuls to also display the show of party loyalty in the 2027 general elections by delivering President Ahmed Bola Tinubu and all of our candidates at all the levels of the election.
