Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has announced that the Ewet Luxury Garden Estate in Uyo is nearing completion and will soon be ready for occupation, with handover to subscribers expected within the next two months.
The Governor made this known one Friday shortly after hosting a special birthday breakfast at the estate’s Experience Centre, a key facility designed to drive sales and showcase the project.
Governor Eno expressed satisfaction with the pace and quality of work, noting that his directive to have the Experience Centre completed ahead of his birthday had been fulfilled.
Describing the development as a significant step in expanding access to quality housing, he said the estate comprises 35 modern duplexes tailored for middle-income earners, each equipped with standard solar power systems.
“The experience is impressive. I made it clear that the Experience Centre must be ready as part of my birthday request, and I am pleased that this has been achieved,” the Governor said.
He added that the centre would become fully operational within a week, with complete staffing expected to drive marketing and client engagement.
“I believe that within the next two months, we will begin handing over the units to their respective owners. The sales agreements will also be ready within that timeframe,” he assured.
Providing further insight into the project, the Managing Director of Messrs Western Legacy Investment Ltd, Mr Kunle Mrlipa, said the company had received clear instructions to deliver the estate within 60 days and was fully committed to meeting the deadline.
He explained that the Ewet Luxury Garden Estate is a government-backed initiative consisting of 35 fully detached five-bedroom duplexes, developed as part of efforts to transform the former timber market corridor along Uruan Street into a modern residential hub.
Adelipa commended Governor Eno for his vision and support, assuring that all necessary measures were in place to ensure the timely completion and delivery of the project.
