Tinubu Emerges Victorious In Ebonyi


President Bola Tinubu has been declared the winner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary held in Ebonyi State.

Declaring the result at the party secretariat in the capital city on Saturday, the State Collation Officer who doubles as the Governor of Ebonyi State, Francis Nwifuru, announced that Tinubu scored a total of 207,579 votes to defeat his rival, Mr Stanley Nsiofor.

According to him, “total number of accredited voters was 217, 579 votes, total number of votes cast 207, 579.”

He opined, “I, Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, the State Collation Officer in Ebonyi State, hereby certify that President Bola Tinubu won the total number of votes in Ebonyi State.”

The collation officer announced that Bola Tinubu polled the highest number of votes in all 13 local government areas of the state.

Nwifuru outlined the local governments where Bola Tinubu won, including Abakaliki, Afikpo, Ebonyi, Edda, Ezza North, Ezza South, Ikwo and Ishielu respectively.

Other council areas where President Tinubu won the total number of votes include Ivo, Izzi, Ohaozara and Onicha respectively.

In a related development, Minister of Works David Umahi has restated that the state was a complete APC state.

Umahi stated this at Ohaozara at the end of the APC presidential primary to select the candidate of the party ahead of the 2027 general election.
