Abiodun Congratulates Adeola On Emergence As Governorship Candidate


Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun has congratulated Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola on his emergence as the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2027 general election in the state.

Abiodun made the remarks on Thursday,  21 May, 2026 after participating in the APC direct primary election conducted across the state

The governor described the exercise as peaceful, transparent, and orderly.

According to the him, the primary election reflected the unity and internal democratic strength of the APC in Ogun State, while commending party members, leaders, stakeholders, electoral officials, and security agencies for ensuring a smooth process.

He applauded the overwhelming support recorded during the exercise and reaffirmed the party’s commitment to sustaining development, stability, and progress in the state ahead of the 2027 elections.

The governor also expressed confidence in Adeola’s candidacy, pledging continued collaboration among party stakeholders to strengthen the APC’s position in Ogun State.

Senator Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, emerged as the APC governorship flagbearer after the conclusion of the statewide direct primary election.
