He noted that the primaries recorded a large turnout of organic voters across ward levels and were largely free, fair, and credible, adding that the process reflects the growing internal democracy within the All Progressives Congress.

Keyamo, a founding member of the APC in Delta State, described the exercise as the best the party has conducted in the state since its formation, stressing that the outcome reinforces confidence in grassroots participation and party structures.

He urged aggrieved aspirants to accept the outcome in good faith and join forces with the winners to strengthen the party ahead of the 2027 general elections. According to him, unity within the party remains critical for electoral success.

The minister also praised Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for providing what he described as inclusive and purposeful leadership, crediting him for strengthening political harmony in the state.

He further commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for promoting internal democracy within the APC, noting that the party’s open and competitive primary process reflects a commitment to fairness and grassroots engagement.

Keyamo added that those who previously sought to secure party tickets through political influence without grassroots consultation had been rejected by delegates, describing the outcome as a lesson in political participation.
