Solagberu Hails Oloyede On Impactful Tenure

The outgoing Registrar/Chief Executive of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Prof. Ishaq Olanrewaju Oloyede, has been lauded for taking the Board to an enviable level in probity and service delivery.

The commendation was contained in a statement issued in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, by an Imam at the National Mosque, Abuja, Dr Abdulkadir Jumuah Salman Solagberu, describing Prof. Oloyede’s tenure as “the golden age in the annals of the examination body.”

Dr Solagberu, who is also the Malami Ubandoma of Ilorin and Proprietor of the proposed Darul Kitab University in Ilorin, said: “Prof. Oloyede has worked so hard to promote JAMB to a level that it has not only become the nation’s most admirable and credible examination body but also a model for other public institutions.”

He said he was particularly happy that the former Vice Chancellor of the University of Ilorin has proven to be a good ambassador of the Nigerian Muslim community, adding that the renowned academic has not disappointed his primary constituency and the nation either as an academic or administrator.

Dr Solagberu urged Prof. Oloyede, who is also the Secretary-General of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs and Kuliyan Sokoto, to continue to work hard, noting that his place in the history of the nation’s public service remains secured and glowing.

The cleric, while saluting Prof. Oloyede’s patriotism and creativity, urged other Nigerians, particularly Muslims, to emulate his sterling qualities for the nation to achieve its full potential.

Dr Solagberu wished Prof. Oloyede long life, sound health and happiness to enable him to serve Allah and humanity for many years to come.
