Music Is Warfare, Tool For Society Bella Shmurda


Nigerian Afrobeats singer Akinbiyi Abiola Ahmed, popularly known as Bella Shmurda, has opined that music functions as warfare and a tool for societal advancement, not just entertainment.

The singer made this declaration in a recent interview in the ‘For Bunmi’ documentary.

According to him, music is a tool for kindness and advancement, claiming that dancing keeps individuals sane, improves their mood, and enables them to dance away sadness.

“Music is warfare. Music is a tool for society. Music is a tool of progress. Music is an instrument of goodwill.

“Music is a tool to keep people sane, to put them in the right state of mind, to make them dance away their sorrow, and to make them feel alive and self-conscious,” he explained.

The “Cash App” crooner claimed that being a father has altered his musical philosophy.

Speaking further, he disclosed that he is now picking songs more carefully because he wants his kids to be happy with his work when they grow up.
