Ex-IGP, Adamu Submits APC Governorship Form, Set For Showdown With Wadada


Former Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, has formally presented his All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship nomination form to former Nasarawa State governor, Tanko Al-Makura, in Abuja on Tuesday.

Adamu is seeking the APC governorship ticket in Nasarawa State and is expected to face a keen contest in the party’s forthcoming direct primary election.

His main challenger is Ahmed Aliyu Wadada, who is reportedly backed by the incumbent governor, Abdullahi Sule.

The development sets the stage for a high-stakes political battle within the All Progressives Congress in the state ahead of the primaries.
