Faleke Obtains APC Presidential Nomination Forms For Tinubu

As preparations for the 2027 presidential election gather momentum, James Faleke, a member of the House of Representatives, has obtained the Expression of Interest and Nomination forms of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on behalf of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

New Telegraph reports that the forms, which were presented in Abuja on Tuesday by the party’s National Organising Secretary, Suleiman Argungu, marked the formal opening of the nomination process for the ruling party’s presidential ticket.

Faleke, who represents Ikeja Federal Constituency and is a member of Tinubu Support Groups, completed the process, including payment for the forms reportedly valued at ₦100 million, signalling the president’s intention to seek a second term in office.

According to the commission, presidential and National Assembly elections are scheduled for January 16, 2027, while governorship and state assembly elections will hold on February 6, 2027.

INEC has also fixed April 23 to May 30, 2026, for political parties to conduct their primaries and resolve related disputes.

Campaign activities for presidential and National Assembly elections are expected to commence on August 19, 2026, with campaigns for governorship and state assembly elections beginning on September 9, 2026.

The collection of the nomination forms is widely seen as an early step in the ruling party’s preparations for the next electoral cycle.
