A non-gover nmental Organisation, Search for Commission Grounds, which has been impacting lives in the Niger Delta Region has finally exited the region with an advice for the people of the region not to allow all the livelihood projects put on ground waste.
Speaking on Tuesday in Yenagoa during the close-out and dissertation of end line evaluation findings meeting, the Country Director of the NGO, About Karno Ouattara, represented by the Director of Operations, Onnu James Udalor, thanked the people of the region for their peaceful disposition and cooperation during the over 30 months that the organization lasted in the region.
The Country Director states that he was happy that where mistrust once defined relationships, the organization was able to see dialogue take root, adding that:” young women, traditional leaders and local authorities have come together to listen, engage and find common grounds to co exist.
He maintained that the existence of Search for Common Ground in the Niger Delta region also brought closer the security actors to the people, saying, “platforms created under this project have allowed concerns to be raised and addressed in a more timely and coordinated manner.”
