ADC Reps Aspirant Unveils Strategic Plans For Amuwo Odofin

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) hopeful for the Amuwo Odofin Federal Constituency seat at the House of Representatives, Dr Faith Ugbeshe, has rolled out a five-pronged agenda for the holistic development of the area.

Dr Ugbeshe, a leader of technological advancement, policy thinker, and grassroots political leader committed to delivering innovative, transparent, and people-focused governance, revealed her poise to serve the constituents of Amuwo Odofin Federal constituency in her recent chat with newsmen in Lagos.

The ADC aspirant for the House of Representatives seat, having served as Chairman of the New Nigeria Political Party (NNPP) in Amuwo-Odofin Constituency, avails her a good grasp of the grassroots polity and would seamlessly translate to unfettered delivery of the dividends of democracy to the constituents.

She stated the fact that her legislative mandate revolves around three cardinal functions: lawmaking, performing oversight functions, quality representation that drives constituency development and budget scrutiny for even distribution of scarce national patrimony.

Ugbeshe maintained that her five-pronged agenda at the National Assembly will transform Amuwo Odofin federal constituency, while calling for massive support for her to be able to secure the party’s ticket.

“I have been involved in the grassroots politics of this area for quite some time now and have actively participated in galvanising a support base for political reengineering of the area, so good legislation and quality representation are in view so your support for me will yield good dividends.

“At the Federal House of Representatives th, thisve-pronged agenda will be my guide and I will assiduously pursue it. These include: Community Infrastructure Advocacy, I will advocate for the rehabilitation of roads in Festac and promote improved drainage, sanitation, and flood control systems.

“Youth empowerment and employment will also form a critical part of my major focus and I will drive that through the launch of skill development initiatives linked to federal MSME (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) opportunities which will be aided via promotion of access to youth funding and entrepreneurship support programmes.

“I will not lose sight of education and technology development as I will be a lead Sponsor of legislation to expand digital learning and tech hubs, remember that is my core competence area, and I will drive partnerships with relevant agencies to improve school infrastructure and access to quality education.

“In Amuwo Odofin our environmental protection and energy development scope needs to be firmed up, so I will be advocating for proper regulation of industrial activities, including tank farms and container terminals to promote safe and well-regulated gas plant development to improve energy access within the constituency which will seamlessly translate into clean and sustainable energy adoption.

“Ultimately, our access to power and energy will be revamped through facilitation of access to solar panels and power boxes for households and small businesses, with this promotion of alternative energy solutions we will reduce reliance on unstable power supply in Amuwo Odofin federal constituency.” Dr Ugbeshe said.
