Nigerians Share Messages Of Hope, Healing At Easter

As Christians across Nigeria join the world to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ, believers from various walks of life have shared heartfelt Easter messages calling for peace, unity, and divine intervention in the nation.

From environmental advocates to project managers and healthcare workers, the overwhelming theme is prayers of renewed hope amid national challenges and seeming uncertainties.

An environmental conservation organisation, Ms Kemi Potts Johnson, described Easter as the very foundation of the Christian faith.

“For me, Easter is our reason as Christians. So it’s my favourite time of the year — even more special than Christmas. My message for Nigerians this Easter is that I pray that God can bring peace and healing to this land. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”

A project manager, Olufunmilayo Olukoga, urged Nigerians to embrace the power of new beginnings: “As we celebrate Easter, I wish all Nigerians a season filled with hope, renewal, and unwavering faith.

“May the resurrection of Christ remind us of the power of new beginnings, unity, and love for one another. May our nation experience peace, progress, and prosperity.”

Similarly, Otolorin Olusoji encouraged believers to draw strength from their faith: “This Easter, may Nigerians find renewed strength in faith, courage in adversity, and hope for better days. Let us embrace unity and kindness as we work together for national growth and harmony.”

Abisola Epoyun, Senior Manager of Data Privacy at Flutterwave, reflected on the deeper meaning of the season: “Easter is more than just a festive event; it’s a reminder and a declaration that light will always outshine and outlast darkness.

“As we come together with friends and family this season, may our hope be restored and may we pause amidst the noise to count all we have to be grateful for. Here’s wishing everyone a joyful, blessed and Happy Easter!

“Happy Easter! As we celebrate the resurrection of Christ, I pray that this season brings renewed hope, peace, and joy to your heart and home. May God, in His infinite mercy, bless you with good health, success, and lasting happiness. … May your home never lack joy, your table never lack provision, and your life be filled with testimonies.”

Also, Nurse Grace Awulotu reminded Nigerians of the sacrificial love of Christ and its relevance to the nation’s present struggles: “Christ was tortured and crucified for you and me.

“His death paid for our sins, and through His sacrifice, we are made whole. In a time when our nation feels the weight of hardship, uncertainty, and silent struggles, may the cross remind us that suffering is not the end — hope still lives. Christ is risen! May His resurrection bring healing, strength, and renewed hope to our nation.”

Jimmy Taiwo said, “As we celebrate the season of sacrifice, renewal and hope, I wish to extend my warmest greetings and heartfelt felicitations to Nigerians on the joyous occasion of Easter. “May it be filled with lots of love and joy.

“May our families be blessed as you celebrate the true meaning of Easter — from the reflection of Good Friday to the joy of Easter and the promise of eternal life.”

As church services, family gatherings, and community outreaches continue across the country, these voices join a chorus of faith declaring that the resurrection brings hope — not just for tomorrow, but for Nigeria today.
