Lagos Governorship Aspirant Urges Residents To Join ADC

A governorship aspirant in the Lagos State chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Architect Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour has called on residents of the state to come out and register as members of the party if they truly want a change in the way the state is being managed.

In a statement issued by his Media Office yesterday, he stated that the ADC remains the best vehicle for reworking Lagos State from an underachiever to a prosperous entity that serves the needs and aspiration of all residents.

According to him the ongoing electioneering process that would midwife the crop of leaders for the country presents another opportunity for citizens to engage through active participation warning against dire consequences if they (the residents) stay off.

“I am urging Lagosians to troop out enmasse to register with our party as members if they truly desire a change with regards to how we are being governed because our failure to engage will result in us being ruled by people who are inferior to us,” he said.

The governorship hopeful further added that “This timeless warning reminds us that when good people stay away from politics, the future of society is left in the hands of those who may not have the vision, competence, or integrity to lead.

“Today, the future of Lagos and Nigeria depends on citizens who are willing to step forward, participate, and help shape the destiny of our communities.

Rhodes-Vivour added that the benefit of membership will ensure that those in the membership roll would have the ability as equal members and stakeholders to determine who would be the candidates of the ADC from the ward to the presidency.
