I Brought Mercy Aigbe Into Nollywood


Nollywood actor and movie producer, Olaide Olabanji, has accused colleague Mercy Aigbe of being “An ingrate,” claiming she repaid him with “Wickedness” after he introduced her into Nollywood.

Speaking in a recent interview with media personality Oyinmomo, Olabanji explained that Aigbe’s behaviour changed drastically after achieving success, stressing that she even went to the extent of blocking him on social media.

The actor said he discovered Aigbe in a shop in 2004, asked if she could act, and personally helped her start her career in the movie industry.

According to Olabanji, to her, it is as if he “Should no longer exist.”

He further alleged that the actress resents him to the extent of wishing him “death.”

He added that Mercy Aigbe, who was once “warm and approachable,” now appears “distant and hostile” whenever they cross paths.
