2027: Only PDP Has Capacity To Sack APC

Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) backed by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Nyesom Wike for the 2027 presidential election, Senator Sandy Onor, has boasted that the party is the only opposition party with the capacity to beat the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Senator Onor in his acceptance speech, said that though the PDP has its own vicissitudes, the party has overcome its worst fears.

“We have soared beyond our worst anxieties. We have crossed the Rubicon. We are consolidating and consolidating very fast. And with me as the driver of this formidable party, there is nothing we cannot achieve,” he boasted.

He assured that Nigeria under his leadership, would be properly managed, “with courage and integrity and probity.”

The presidential candidate said he focuses as Nigeria president would be on people in rural areas, “that primary school teacher, that mini bus transporter, those people out there, young men and women who have left school and cannot get full employment.

“Those people who have become vulnerable to recruitment by bandits and terrorists, that is where my target will be.”

He expressed the belief that if he were able to address rural poverty, Nigeria would move forward.

“There is no time for artificialities anymore. We must be original. We must cut our coat according to our cloth, not our size.

“We must stop being artificial, pretending to be who we are not. It is a time for reevaluation of where we really are.

“The stark realities must be placed in perspective, and the poverty of this country must be cured.

“We cannot be poor in the midst of so much, and I think through selfless leadership, through genuine leadership, through the enthronement of discipline and accountability, we can arrest this poverty monster in our country,” he added.
