Grammy-winning Nigerian singer Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has expressed his desire for his colleague Asake to perform at his wedding.

Wizkid made this known during their recent appearance on Apple Music radio, alongside DJ Tunez.

He also revealed that Asake’s breakout hit ‘Omo Ope’ instantly made him a fan, but ‘Remember’ remains his favourite song and the one he wants Asake to perform on his wedding day.

The Starboy boss praised Asake as one of the most gifted vocalists in Africa and globally, describing him as a “blessing to African music.”

He said, “‘Omo Ope’ made me an Asake fan from the first listen. But my favourite Asake song is ‘Remember’. I think you have to play that one on my wedding day… You have one of the most special voices from home and in the world.”

Wizkid is currently in a romantic relationship with his third ‘baby mama’ and manager, Jada P.

The couple has three children together comprising two boys and a girl.

The singer has long teased on the possibility of a wedding.
