Regus, APD partner to democratise workspace

To give Nigerians access to decent and affordable office space, Regus, a subsidiary of International Workplace Group, has partnered with ADP Limited to inaugurate a new workspace at the Mansard Place recently in Lagos.

Speaking during the recent agreement signing ceremony, the Chief Executive Officer, Middle East and Africa, IWG, Marc Decrozaille, noted that the partnership would encourage productivity in the country.

“This strategic partnership is going to be extremely fruitful for both parties. The quality of the location, the quality of the building, and, for me, more importantly, the quality of the bond and the relationship between our teams is going to make this an exceptional success. And the reason I came is that in the world of today, Nigeria is not yet where it should be for IWG,” he stated.

He added that the firm was planning to democratise workspace to enable small businesses to access decent and affordable office spaces in highbrow areas across the country.

Also, the Country Manager of International Workplace Group, Ayo Akinmade, said the strategic location of Mansard Place made it ideal for small businesses to pursue their dreams.

According to the IWG country manager, the goal of the firm is to create a network of offices across the country.

“Many SMEs, corporate organisations, and even large corporates will need to be ready to take advantage of the opportunities. And having professional partners that can help you on that journey is very important. The ability to, even in a hybrid world, meet with your employees somewhere.

“You need to have a space. Instead of worrying about power, building, or rent, imagine working from a location that is of top quality in a great environment. There is no creativity you are looking for that will not happen there,” Akinmade mentioned.

He explained that adopting a hybrid workspace model gives businesses the ability to execute their plans flawlessly because there are people taking care of all their worries.

“And the most wonderful thing is that you don’t have to pay one big amount at once for 50 spaces. If all you are starting with is 10 employees, you can house them, you can support them, and as your business expands, you can have the ability to expand quickly without huge capital outlay.

“I think that’s very unique and very supportive. As the world is evolving, we’re very sure in AXA, as well as the APD business, that creating this opportunity to allow everyone access who needs it to help them achieve their ambition is what we’re set for. So, we believe in the short, medium, and long run, just almost democratising office spaces for anyone who is really trying to operate from the right place that is happening,” he expounded.

On his part, the Chairman of ADP Limited, Rashidat Adebisi, remarked that the collaboration would be mutually beneficial to both parties and businesses that would leverage the offerings of IWG.

She maintained that the democratisation of office spaces through the partnership would help boost productivity in the country.

The Director of APD Limited, Deji Tunde-Anjous, said that Mansard Place was built on 4,200 square metres of land and boasts 6,900 square metres of leasable space.

“It was built to the highest specifications. We also used A-grade contractors. Cappa and D’Alberto led the contracting team,” he remarked.

“IWG currently has 10 office spaces in Lagos and is planning to expand it to over 50 next year,” the statement added.
