Zamfara NSCDC Train 200 Personnel For VIP Protection


The Zamfara State Command of the Nigeria Security And Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) has on Friday trained 200 personnel on Very Important Personalities (VIP) protection needing the service with a view to meet the increased demands considering the impending electoral processes as directed by President Ahmed Bola Tinubu.

Delivering his speech during the passing out parade of the trained personnel, the NSCDC boss, Commandant Sani Mustapha, said his Command is able to achieved the two weeks training through Governor Lawal-led administration’s great concern on security that facilitated unwavering support.

“The VIP Protection Training scheme is organized to adequately educate, orient and equip personnel of the Corps with the necessary skill, endurance, discipline and ethics of protecting the important personalities as a new mandate to NSCDC, following the Federal Executive order 2025 by the President, Ahmed Bola Tinubu GCFR.

“Consequently, the training is timely, considering the impending electoral processes and the increased demands of the elites needing VIP Protection.

In completion of the two weeks of rigorous training aimed to equip personnel with the ability to discharge the added responsibility industriously and efficient.

“The training amassed a total of Two Hundred (200) Personnel from the various formations of the Command. NSCDC, Zamfara State Command, since my inception as the 18th substantive State Commandant, I have enjoyed robust and numerous administrative assistance to make our work easy through the prompt and sufficient collaborative interventions centered to Promoting Security Agencies and improving Peace and Security of the State in general.

“Your Excellency, Governor of Zamfara State, Dr. Dauda Lawal, I am delighted for having opportunity to have served under your distinguished administration as the State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) spanning almost 3 years today, which will become past on the 2nd June, 2026 In Sha Allah.

“Through your relentless push and support NSCDC, Zamfara State Command Nationally doubles as the Pacesetter and Model Command of the Corps, thanks to your unwavering support and commitment to standardize and improve the welfarism and capacity of Security Operatives in the State not just the NSCDC.

“Your Excellency, it might interest you to know that the VIP Protection Training Course I is the Maiden Edition to all State Commands of the Federation including the (FCT) Abuja, second to only the national headquarters. This milestone is only actualized due to your strong and resilient contribution to the Security of Zamfara State and NSCDC, the Command is determined to deliver on its mandate”, Commandant Mustapha has stressed.
